The Salt March, also known as the Dandi March and the
Dandi Satyagraha, was an act of nonviolent civil
disobedience in colonial India led by Mohandas
Karamchand Gandhi to produce salt.One of the major
aspects of Sarojini Naidu’s role in India’s freedom
struggle was during Salt Satyagraha, where she
participated with many women protesters at Dharsana Salt
Works in Gujarat.
