A training aircraft operated by Garg Aviation crashed near the Ganga Barrage in Kanpur on August 27, 2026. The twin-engine Tecnam P2006T had taken off around 11:30 AM and crashed about 20 minutes later while returning to the training centre. Both the instructor, Sachin Bhatia, and trainee pilot, Abhishek Pujari, died. The exact cause is still being investigated by the AAIB and DGCA.
