Many people believe ceramic coating removes scratches due to marketing claims and the dramatic visual improvement seen after application. In most professional installations, paint correction is performed before the coating is applied. This process removes swirl marks and light scratches, leaving the paint looking flawless. When the coating is then applied, it enhances gloss and depth, making it appear as if the coating itself removed the scratches. In reality, it was the paint correction process that fixed the imperfections, while the coating simply preserved the improved finish.
