Ceramic coating provides excellent resistance against bird droppings, tree sap, bug splatter, and other environmental contaminants. These substances can be highly acidic and may damage unprotected paint if left on the surface for extended periods. The protective layer created by ceramic coating acts as a barrier between the contaminant and the paint. This gives vehicle owners more time to safely remove harmful substances before they cause staining or etching. However, ceramic coating should not be viewed as complete protection against neglect.
