The Father of Computer Science is widely considered to be Alan Turing. Alan Turing, a British mathematician and logician, made foundational contributions to the field, particularly with his concept of the Turing machine, which formalized the idea of computation and algorithms. His work during World War II in breaking the Enigma code significantly advanced the development of computers. Turing’s seminal paper, “On Computable Numbers, with an Application to the Entscheidungsproblem,” laid the theoretical groundwork for computer science and artificial intelligence.
