Animals with four knees are known as quadrupedal mammals. Examples include the camel, cow, horse, and deer. Quadrupedal mammals’ front legs have elbows and wrists, while their hind legs have knees and ankles. The knee joints of quadrupedal mammals are more complex than those of bipedal animals, allowing them to move their legs in multiple directions.
Elephants are apparently the only mammals with four knees.
