The 42nd Amendment of the Constitution of India was enacted in the year 1976. It is officially known as the Constitution Act, 1976. It was enacted during the Emergency by the Indian National Congress Head Indira Gandhi. It is considered the most controversial Constitutional Amendments in Indian history.
