A locomotor disability is a condition that compromises an individual’s ability to mobilize. The individuals with the problem find difficulties in performing daily physical activities. It occurs when there is a problem in the bones, joints, muscles, nerves, or limbs, making movement difficult. People with locomotor disabilities may experience challenges in walking, standing, sitting, balancing, or using their hands and legs properly. The problem can range from temporary to permanent. The disability can be temporary or permanent, mild or severe, depending on the underlying cause.
