Exosomes for hair loss are often described as a way to “wake up” dormant hair follicles, but it’s important to understand what that really means. Exosomes are tiny particles released by cells that carry signals—like growth factors and proteins—that help improve communication between cells. When applied to the scalp, they may create a healthier environment around hair follicles, encouraging them to move from a resting phase into an active growth phase.
Hair follicles at the dormant stage are stimulated by exosomes. Hair can remain at dormant stage that is either weakened or shrunken (as seen in early or moderate hair loss). Exosome therapy promotes cellular signals that trigger hair regrowth and improve hair thickness, density, and overall scalp health.
