Uttar Pradesh is called the Sugar bowl of India
because it is the largest producer of sugarcane in India. Uttar Pradesh accounts for 39% of total sugarcane production in the country. Uttar Pradesh has the largest area under sugarcane cultivation in India, which is more than 21 Lakh Hectares of land.
