The Troposphere is the lowest layer of the Earth’s atmosphere. This layer contains most of Earth’s clouds and is the location where weather primarily occurs. The troposphere is heated from the ground, so temperature decreases with altitude. The surface of the Earth absorbs energy and heats up faster than the air does
