The longest river in Russia is the Lena (4,400 km). The Lena River is one of the longest rivers in the world. It originates near Lake Baikal in the south of Russia and flows to the west, and then above Yakutsk smoothly turns to the north, where it flows into the Laptev Sea (basin of the Arctic Ocean).
