A hub and a switch are both networking devices used to connect multiple computers or devices on a network, but they differ in their functionality and the way they handle network traffic. A hub is a simple networking device that broadcasts data to all devices on the network, regardless of whether the data is intended for a specific device or not. This can lead to network congestion and collisions, especially in larger networks. A switch, on the other hand, is a more intelligent networking device that forwards data only to the intended recipient device, based on the MAC address of the destination device. This reduces network congestion and improves network performance, especially in larger networks.
