Geotextile Fabric is a permeable textile material used in civil engineering, road construction, drainage systems, landscaping, and soil protection. It is generally manufactured from synthetic fibres such as polypropylene or polyester. Its main purpose is to improve the performance of soil by providing separation, filtration, drainage, reinforcement, or protection. For example, when used beneath a road, it separates the soil from the aggregate layer and helps prevent the materials from mixing. This can improve road stability and reduce maintenance requirements. In drainage applications, Geotextile Fabric allows water to pass through while holding back soil particles.
