Form 16D is a certificate issued by a mutual fund to investors who have received dividend income from the mutual fund scheme. It contains details of the dividend income earned by the investor, tax deducted at source (TDS), if any, and other relevant information. Investors can use Form 16D to claim credit for TDS while filing their income tax returns.
