Plant reproduction can occur through sexual and asexual means. Sexual reproduction involves the fusion of male and female gametes (pollen and ovules) to produce seeds, while asexual reproduction involves the production of new individuals from vegetative structures (such as runners, bulbs, tubers, and rhizomes) without the need for gametes.
