In Indian classical music, the seven basic swaras, or notes, are:

    1. Sa (Shadja) – Equivalent to the Western note C
    2. Re (Rishabh) – Equivalent to the Western note D
    3. Ga (Gandhar) – Equivalent to the Western note E
    4. Ma (Madhyam) – Equivalent to the Western note F
    5. Pa (Pancham) – Equivalent to the Western note G
    6. Dha (Dhaivat) – Equivalent to the Western note A
    7. Ni (Nishad) – Equivalent to the Western note B

These seven swaras form the foundation of Indian classical music and are used to create melodies (ragas) and rhythms (talas).
