Name the type of cell division that takes place in the zygote of an orgnaism exhibiting
haplontic life cycle.
The zygote divides via meiosis in organisms with a haplontic life cycle. In an organism with a haplontic life cycle, zygotic meiosis occurs, in which the zygote undergoes meiosis to create haploid spores, which divide mitotically to form the gametophyte.
