Most of the time it fails because employer records are outdated or wrong. Your Aadhaar can be perfect, but if your employer entered a wrong DOB or spelling years ago, EPFO will reject activation. The employee has very little control here, which is the frustrating part. Add portal glitches and timeouts, and it just fails without telling you clearly what went wrong.
