“Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” was written by J.K. Rowling. The book was first published in the United Kingdom in 1997 and later released internationally under the title “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” in certain markets. J.K. Rowling’s creation of the Harry Potter series has since become one of the most beloved and successful literary franchises in history.
