the Methuselah star
Some are so massive that they are bigger than whole galaxies, some are tiny, and some are even invisible. And some are even older than life. The oldest star in the known universe is the Methuselah star, also known as HD 140283, a subgiant star.
HD 140283, also known as the Methuselah star, is one of the oldest known stars in the universe, estimated to be around 14.46 billion years old. It’s located in the Milky Way Galaxy, about 200 light years from Earth in the constellation Libra.
