The Father of the White Revolution in India is Dr. Verghese Kurien. He was instrumental in transforming India’s dairy industry and making the country one of the largest producers of milk in the world. Dr. Kurien’s efforts led to the establishment of the cooperative movement and the creation of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and Amul, which played crucial roles in the success of the White Revolution. His innovative strategies and leadership in dairy farming significantly improved the livelihoods of millions of rural farmers in India.
