The Father of Modern Medicine is Hippocrates. He was an ancient Greek physician who is considered the founder of medicine as a rational science. Hippocrates lived around 460-370 BCE and is best known for the Hippocratic Oath, which set ethical standards for medical practice, as well as the Hippocratic Corpus, a collection of medical texts. His approach to medicine emphasized natural causes of diseases, observation, and clinical examination rather than supernatural explanations. Hippocrates’ teachings and methods laid the foundation for Western medicine and influenced medical practice for centuries, earning him the title of the Father of Modern Medicine.
