The Father of Bangladesh is Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He is widely revered for his pivotal role in the country’s struggle for independence from Pakistan. As the leader of the Awami League, his leadership and vision were crucial during the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971, which ultimately led to the creation of an independent Bangladesh. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman served as the country’s first President and later as Prime Minister, and he is affectionately known as “Bangabandhu,” which means “Friend of Bengal.”
