“Jawahar of Uttarakhand” refers to Jagmohan Singh Negi. This one trips people up because they see “Jawahar” and immediately think of Nehru — but that’s not it.
“Jawahar” basically means jewel or someone highly valued. In this context, it’s used to describe Negi’s importance and contribution to the region, kind of like calling him a key figure for Uttarakhand.
So yeah, it’s more of an honorary title reflecting his regional impact, not about who loved the Himalayas or spent time there. Easy exam trap if you don’t know the distinction.
