    As of my last update in January 2022, Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal held the record for the most international goals scored in a football career. Ronaldo surpassed Ali Daei of Iran in September 2021 to achieve this milestone. At that time, Ronaldo had scored over 115 international goals for Portugal.
