Mysore Pak was first prepared in the Royal Palace of Mysore, Karnataka, during the reign of King Krishna Raja Wadiyar IV in the 19th century. The royal chef, Kakasura Madappa, invented this sweet using besan (gram flour), sugar, and ghee. The king loved it so much that he named it after the city of Mysore.
