In the 2023-24 SDG India Index, Kerala and Uttarakhand emerged as the top-performing states, both achieving a composite score of 79. This marks a significant accomplishment, reflecting their strong progress across various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as healthcare, economic growth, and environmental sustainability (ClearIAS) (The New Indian Express) (Drishti IAS).
Tamil Nadu also performed exceptionally well, securing the third position with a score of 78. The state made substantial strides in areas like decent work, economic growth, healthcare, and environmental sustainability (Press Information Bureau).
