The Gujri Mahal in Hissar, Haryana, India was built by the Mughal Emperor Jahangir for his wife Nur Jahan, who was also known as ‘Gujri’. The palace was built in the early 17th century, around 1620-1625 AD, and is considered to be one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture in Haryana.
The Gujjari Mahal was built by Firoz Shah Tughlaq for his beloved Gujri Rani, a native of Hisar with whom he fell in love during the course of one of his hunting expeditions.
