Darpan
The first newspaper in Maharashtra was Darpan. It was started on 6 January 1832 by Balshastri Jambhekar. The paper was bilingual fortnightly and also published in English as The Bombay Darpan and stopped publishing in 1840.
The oldest newspaper in Maharashtra is The Bombay Samachar. It was founded in 1822 and is still in publication today.
