A banker’s cheque, also known as a cashier’s cheque or a bank draft, is a cheque issued by a bank, guaranteeing the payment because the funds are drawn from the bank’s own account rather than from an individual’s account. This type of cheque is often used for transactions that require a higher level of security or assurance of payment, such as real estate purchases or large business transactions. The bank certifies the cheque, ensuring the recipient that the cheque will not bounce due to insufficient funds.
