Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) suggested the creation of an independent statutory body called the Artificial Intelligence and Data Authority of India (AIDAI), which would function as both a regulator and advisory body for all AI-related matters.
It also recommended that the administrative responsibility for AI should be placed under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
