African trypanosomiasis, also called Sleeping Sickness, is a disease caused by protozoans of the genus Trypanosoma, and transmitted to humans by bites of Tsetse flies (glossina) which have acquired the parasites from infected humans or animals
Symptoms include fatigue, high fever, headaches, and muscle aches. If the disease is not treated, it can cause death.
