Uttar Pradesh is the Indian state that has had both a father and daughter serve as chief ministers. Mulayam Singh Yadav, the founder of the Samajwadi Party, served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh multiple times. His daughter, Akhilesh Yadav, also served as the Chief Minister from 2012 to 2017.
Akhilesh Yadav is Mulayam Singh Yadav’s son.
