Virender Sehwag, the swashbuckling opener, holds the distinction of scoring the highest individual score by an Indian batsman in Test cricket outside India. Sehwag achieved this remarkable feat during the first Test match against South Africa at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai (formerly Madras) in March 2008.
