World Tsunami Day is observed on November 5th every year to raise awareness about the importance of tsunami preparedness and to commemorate the devastating Indian Ocean Tsunami that occurred on December 26, 2004. It’s a reminder of the need for early warning systems, community preparedness, and resilience-building efforts in vulnerable coastal areas.
