Regular inspection of every Silt Fence on site is required, especially after significant rainfall events. Sediment must be removed from the base of the Silt Fence once it accumulates to about one-third of the barrier height. If any portion of the Silt Fence becomes torn, sagging, or detached from its stakes, repairs should happen immediately. Proper routine maintenance guarantees that the Silt Fence maintains its filtration efficiency throughout the entire duration of the construction project.
