Some languages use writing systems that are very different from the Latin alphabet, such as Chinese characters or the Cherokee syllabary. For example, Chinese uses logograms, where each symbol represents a word or a meaningful part of a word, rather than individual sounds. This writing system reflects the language’s unique structure and cultural history. Similarly, the Cherokee syllabary, created by Sequoyah, was developed to represent Cherokee sounds more accurately and has helped preserve the language.
