The Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Project, located in Jharli, Jhajjar district, is a joint venture involving Haryana, Delhi, and NTPC. Haryana’s role included providing land and infrastructure support for the project. The power plant, which started operations in 2010, has contributed to meeting the energy demands of Haryana and the National Capital Region (NCR). It has improved power availability, supported industrial growth, and enhanced the state’s energy security.
