What was "Basic Education"?

The concept of education is defined as a teleological concept that implies a purpose or aim. It encompasses functions such as qualification, socialization, and subjectification, aiming to provide knowledge, skills, and understanding while integrating individuals into societal norms and fostering personal growth.
In India, the formal education system consists of five years of primary schooling, followed by three years of middle school and two years of high school. After the completion of high school, students can pursue higher education at a university or college.
