The Komodo dragon is the largest lizard in the world, reaching lengths of up to 3 meters (10 feet) and weighing around 70 kilograms (150 pounds). It is a member of the monitor lizard family and is known for its powerful bite, venomous saliva, and scavenging habits. Native to a few Indonesian islands, it is a formidable predator and an apex species in its ecosystem.
