    The Tonic method is a simple structured approach used to make low-impact Pilates safer and more effective for joint health. Tonic stands for Tension control, Optimal alignment, Neutral breathing, Isolated movement, and Consistency. This method ensures that each Pilates movement protects the joints while strengthening surrounding muscles. Tension control prevents overloading sensitive joints, while optimal alignment keeps the body in proper posture during exercises. Neutral breathing helps relax muscles and improve circulation to joints. Isolated movement ensures that specific muscles support joints without unnecessary strain.
