Kedarnath is one of the holiest pilgrimage sites for Hindus. It is part of the Char Dham Yatra and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. According to Hindu mythology, Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva absolved Pandavas from the sin of killing their own kin during the Kurukshetra war.
