Answer: The process of turning a liquid into a solid is called freezing. During freezing, the temperature of a liquid decreases to the point where its molecules lose enough kinetic energy (energy of motion). This slows them down significantly and allows them to arrange themselves in a more ordered, fixed structure, forming a solid state.
