Bernoulli’s equation states that for an incompressible, frictionless fluid, the total mechanical energy (sum of the pressure energy, kinetic energy, and potential energy) along a streamline remains constant. It explains how an increase in the speed of the fluid occurs simultaneously with a decrease in pressure or potential energy.
