The Gandhi-Irwin Pact of 1931 is also known as the “Delhi Pact”. It was an agreement between Mahatma Gandhi and Lord Irwin, the Viceroy of India, aimed at resolving political tensions and facilitating Gandhi’s return to the political mainstream, leading to the participation of the Indian National Congress in the Second Round Table Conference.
