Antarctic Desert is the largest desert in the world.
This desert is located in the southern hemisphere in the continent of Antarctica. It expands across 14,000,000 kilometres(5,500,000 square miles).
It is called a polar desert. It also boasts the lowest recorded temperatures on Earth – as low as -128.2 degrees Fahrenheit.
There is almost no vegetation in Antarctica, so the animals that live there are mostly carnivores, such as penguins, albatrosses, whales, and seals. Antarctica’s waters are abundant with sea life, including fish, krill, and sea sponges.
