The crankshaft position sensor, or CPS for short, is an essential component in a car’s engine. It helps monitor the position and rotational speed of the crankshaft, which is responsible for converting the up-and-down motion of the pistons into rotational motion. The CPS sends this information to the engine control unit (ECU), allowing it to determine the precise timing of fuel injection and ignition. Basically, it helps the engine run smoothly and efficiently by ensuring that everything is in sync. It’s like the engine’s “eyes” and “ears”! 🚗👀👂
