The fear of insects is called entomophobia. This phobia involves an intense and irrational fear of insects, which can lead to significant anxiety and avoidance behaviors. People with entomophobia may experience distress even at the sight or thought of insects and often take measures to avoid any contact with them. Therapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), is commonly used to treat this phobia.
