The fear of blood is called hemophobia or hematophobia. This phobia can cause intense anxiety, panic attacks, and even physical reactions such as fainting (vasovagal syncope) when an individual sees blood or thinks about it. Hemophobia can significantly impact a person’s life, particularly in situations involving medical treatments or injuries.
